Another August Central Texas scorcher of a day, but Hill Dillos came out to the garden for a workday. Coach Schafer, so glad of his promotion, but so sad to see him leave Hill, helped trim the weeds back with his weedeater. That left clear paths to the beds to help us pull the bed weeds!
Tomato plants, pepper plants, and different herbs are still surviving our summer garden.
Sun Brewed Blueberry Lemonade was such a refresher at the end of the workday. Found a great receipe at https://theskinnyfork.com/blog/sunny-strawberry-lemonade. All out of strawberries, but blueberries were an easy substitution. While we vanquished those weeds in the garden (aka Hill parent volunteers; kids worked up a sweat in the Hill playground), the sun worked at making us some great lemonade.
